Step one for 99.999% uptime. Filter and store the power.
Telco style, NOC grade, power systems. Power done smaller and smarter.
Traditionally, computers operate on 120 or 240 volts AC. The conversion
from DC to AC and back is the greatest loss in efficiency in this
type of system. Take a look at the number of power conversions that
happen when using a standard UPS.
120 VAC --> 12 VDC --> battery -->120 VAC -->system DC
In a telephone switching NOC you will find most power systems running
on 48 volt DC. Notice the simplicity and efficiency (energy savings)
with this method.
120 VAC --> 48 VDC --> battery --> system DC
All Simplir rectifiers are hot-swappable and have MTBFs greater than
250,000 hours. Choose at least 30% extra rectifier capacity above
your load. This allows for recovery from power outage.
Power CORE batteries provide more than 100% more uptime per dollar
when compared to leading computer UPSs. In the USA and many other
places in the world, power rarely, if ever, goes out for more than
a couple of hours. A battery bank sized for six hours of operation
can be a cost effective alternative to a backup generator. These same
sealed, long life, Absorbed Glass Mat cells fly in the F-117A stealth
fighter.
In addition to conditioning grid power, Simplir Power CORE can generate
it's own power on-site.
Simplir has both combustible fuel and renewable energy generation
options available.
