Simplir ideas for a complex World

Blade CORE communications optimized resource environment

What is a blade? Blades are small, ultra-dense computing cards. These cards may be a single board computer (Server Blade), or they may be an Input/Output interface card to support a Server Blade. These devices communicate through a common backplane within a single chassis. Blade technology brings several advantages including:

• Eight times the density of 1U servers
• Swappable power supply system shared among all blades in a chassis
• 80% reduction in power consumption compared to 1U servers
• Converged components allow flexibility in configuration and scalability
• Backplane communication replaces cabling rat’s nest
• Architecture designed specifically for telecom grade 99.999% uptime
• Hot-swappable components for ease of upgrade or replacement

Site CORE & Air CORE

A dense, reliable, point of entry blade environment, with a migration path to NOC CORE.

Start with a FRB (firewall router blade) as a high security core router appliance connecting the Internet to wired or wireless LANs. Excellent for remote offices or enterprises with networking needs. Shown with FRB (firewall router blade).

Or add wireless modules to create...

AirCORE -- The ultimate telco grade Wi-Fi base station.

One popular configuration is

  • A Firewall Router Blade
  • Two DNS Blades
  • Two Wireless Access Points

Specs

  • 300,000 Hour MTBF swappable power Supply
  • Holds four blades
  • Hot-Swap fans

Option

  • DC Power Supply -48
How do I choose?
NOC CORE

The World's first fully scalable, highly integrated, network communications blade environment. NOC CORE features sixteen slots for expansion. Start with a FRB (firewall router blade) as a high security core router appliance, connecting the Internet to wired or wireless LANs.

Included are dual redundant hot swap power supplies. These supplies are rated for many hundreds of thousands of hours MTBF, bringing unparalleled reliability to the small and mid-size data center.

Specs

  • Two 300+ Hour MTBF Hot Swap Power Supplies
  • Slot For Third Supply
  • Holds sixteen blades
  • Hot-Swap fans

Options

  • Extra 120/24v Power Supply
  • DC Power Supply -48v
  • DC Power Supply+24v

We invite you to look at an entirely new way to deploy and run Internet infrastructure.

Instead of a room full of servers, connected with a rat's nest of cabling,

...envision one rack chassis with a high speed multi-layer backplane.

Instead of lots of chassis with many, many, ATX power supplies all consuming power and generating heat,

... deploy one chassis with high MTBF communications grade power supplies. This translates into a significant reduction in operating costs through both computing system and cooling system power consumption reductions.

Instead of many different management interface schemes and windows at once.

...a fully integrated cross-platform user interface and blade appliance platform. From customer management to router configuration, wireless, e-mail, web, telemetry - an entire ISP...all in one window and one chassis.
